Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay is hiring a Clinical Cardiac Physiologist for the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital. This permanent, full-time role (80 hours per fortnight) focuses on pacing and related cardiac procedures, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position offers opportunities to develop specialist skills, participate in audits and education, and contribute to service improvements across cardiology

Qualifications

• Registration as a Cardiac Physiologist with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Registration with the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (NZ) Inc.
• Experience in cardiac physiology services, or intermediate level clinical practice with a desire to develop specialist skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard clinical care within Cardiology Outpatients with a focus on pacing and related procedures.
• Carry out ECGs, Holter and blood pressure monitoring, exercise tolerance testing.
• Support and participate in procedures such as Coronary Angiography, PCI, and pacemaker/complex device implantation and management.
• Contribute to service development, clinical audits, education and quality improvement initiatives.
