Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand in Hamilton is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to join a dedicated team providing high-quality physiological testing and patient-centred care. You will perform ECG, Ambulatory monitoring, exercise testing and device checks within a SCT-accredited training facility.

You will be part of a supportive team, with continuous education, mentorship, and opportunities to develop expertise in electrophysiology and cardiac devices.

Qualifications

• Registration with Clinical Physiologists Registration Board with a current APC
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Physiology and the Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology (MTEX) or CCP
• Experience performing and interpreting a wide range of physiological tests with expertise in Electrophysiology and/or Devices
• IBHRE certification (CCDS or EP) or CEPIA Graduate Diploma
• Ability to teach, lead and mentor developing staff with strong communication and analytical skills
• Commitment to patient care, continuous improvement and a positive, collaborative team culture

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of physiological assessments including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, exercise tolerance testing, Cath Lab monitoring and CIED device checks
• Interpret test results and provide clinical reports to assist in diagnosis and treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with hospital policies
• Contribute to development and implementation of new clinical protocols and practices
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and trainees
• Participate in ongoing professional development and attend relevant clinical meetings
