Job summary

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for inpatients and outpatients, focusing on arrhythmias and device testing.

Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board is required, with IBHRE certification or equivalent encouraged. 0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight) with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board with current APC
• IBHRE certification (CCDS or EP) or CEPIA Graduate Diploma encouraged
• Experience in performing and interpreting physiological tests including electrophysiology and devices
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Perform physiological assessments (ECG, ambulatory monitoring, exercise tolerance testing, Cath Lab monitoring, CIED checks)
• Interpret results and provide clinical reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records per policies
• Contribute to development of new clinical protocols
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff
• Participate in ongoing professional development and meetings
