Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist to join the busy Cath Lab and multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to imaging for coronary angiograms, angioplasty, TAVI, pacing, electrophysiology and structural heart procedures while expanding radiology experience in a specialist field.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board with general scope of practice.
• Current practising certificate.
• Strong patient focus and collaborative teamwork.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Perform coronary angiograms, angioplasty, pacing, electrophysiology and structural heart procedures.
• Capture high-quality imaging using X-ray, IVUS and OCT.
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and software.
• Participate in after-hours Primary PCI on-call service.
