Job summary

Fawkes and Reece is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction operations across Canterbury. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects meet safety, quality and budget targets.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with preferred SMSTS/CSCS and First Aid certifications and a willingness to travel locally. A competitive package and company vehicle or allowance are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Site Manager (ideally in residential or commercial construction).
• Strong understanding of H&S legislation and building regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site activities and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Coordinate materials, labour, and project schedules.
• Lead site meetings and liaise with clients, architects, and project managers.
• Monitor progress, quality, and project costs.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and risk assessments.
