Job summary

St Peter’s School in Cambridge, New Zealand is seeking a motivated Audio Visual Technician to join the Performing Arts team on a casual, term-time basis. You will support school events, assemblies, and productions with sound, lighting, video, and staging expertise.

Reporting to the Director of Performing Arts, you will help set up and operate AV equipment, troubleshoot live issues, maintain gear, and assist staff and student crews to deliver high-quality technical support during term-time and

Qualifications

• Experience with live sound, lighting and AV tech for events.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.
• Reliable, physically capable and good teamwork in a campus environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and pack down sound, lighting, video and staging equipment for events.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and live support during performances.
• Maintain equipment and assist with inventory management.
• Support staff, external users and student crews to ensure smooth events.
