Responsibilities

• Assisting with customer check-ins and vehicle handovers, explaining features and safety tips.
• Providing on-site customer support and resolving basic issues.
• Relocating campervans between Christchurch and Auckland as needed.

Our Christchurch depot is a key South Island hub for travellers starting and finishing their adventures. The Role

We’re looking for a friendly, practical, and reliable Campervan Rental Assistant to join our Auckland team over the busy summer season. This is a hands‑on role combining customer interaction with vehicle preparation and light, non‑mechanical maintenance.

You’ll be trusted to work independently at times, manage tasks proactively, and step in to support the team when things get busy. This role would suit an independent self‑starter who takes pride in their work and enjoys a varied, active day.

Full training will be provided, so while hands‑on experience is a bonus, it’s not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning, grooming, and detailing campervans to a high standard
• Performing basic vehicle safety and quality checks prior to hire
• Carrying out minor, non‑mechanical vehicle repairs, such as fixing or adjusting internal components (e.g. cupboard latches, door catches, fixtures, loose fittings, minor interior repairs)
• Assisting with customer check‑ins and vehicle handovers, including clear explanations of vehicle features, safety guidance, and trip tips
• Providing friendly, confident on‑site customer support and resolving basic issues as they arise
• Relocating campervans between Christchurch and Auckland when required
• Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day depot operations

About You

• Practical and hands‑on; experience with tools, basic repairs, or vehicles is a strong bonus
• A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
• An independent self‑starter who can manage tasks with minimal supervision
• A reliable team player willing to go the extra mile during peak periods
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes (full training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high‑quality work

Full driver’s licence (NZ or international)

Available to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays
