Job summary

Summerset Prebbleton is seeking a hands-on Café Supervisor to lead the village cafe team and ensure exceptional service. You’ll manage daily operations, maintain quality barista standards, and support resident events in a warm community setting.

Ideal candidates have cafe operations experience, a leadership background, and LCQ/division certificates. The role runs Tue–Sat, 9am–3:30pm, with benefits including discounts and career growth opportunities.

Summerset Prebbleton is preparing to open the doors to its brand-new cafe - a stunning addition to our already vibrant village community. With its beautiful location this new space will be the jewel in our crown - and we’re looking for a confident, hands-on Café Supervisor to lead the team and ensure exceptional service from day one.

Job Description

We’re now looking for a Café Supervisor for our Prebbleton village who shares our love for people, hospitality, and quality service.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our café. From making great coffee to creating tasty cabinet food and light meals, you’ll help make our café a warm and welcoming place for residents, their families, and visitors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading the daily operations of the café and reconciling the daily takings
• Training and mentoring a small team
• Preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to a high standard
• Providing outstanding barista services
• Assisting with catering for village events and resident functions

You’ll work closely with the Chef Manager, and wider village team to deliver a café experience that’s welcoming, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable.

The hours for this role are Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 3.30pm.

Qualifications

You will bring a warm and positive approach to everything you do, along with:

• Previous experience running daily operations in a café or hospitality business
• Experience leading a team is ideal
• LCQ and/or Duty Managers certificate
• Superb barista skills
• A warm, friendly personality with great customer service skills
• Excellent communication and the ability to multitask
