Job summary

Summerset Prebbleton is opening a brand-new cafe and seeking a confident Café Supervisor to lead the team and ensure exceptional service from day one. The role focuses on great coffee, cabinet food, and light meals for residents, families, and visitors.

You’ll work with the Chef Manager and village team to deliver a welcoming, consistent cafe experience and to manage daily operations, including takings and team training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience running daily café/hospitality operations.
• Experience leading a team is ideal.
• LCQ and/or Duty Manager certificate.
• A warm, friendly personality with excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the café and reconcile takings.
• Train and mentor a small team.
• Prepare, present and serve food and drinks to a high standard.
• Assist with catering for village events and resident functions.

Summerset Prebbleton is preparing to open the doors to its brand-new cafe - a stunning addition to our already vibrant village community. With its beautiful location this new space will be the jewel in our crown - and we're looking for a confident, hands-on Café Supervisor to lead the team and ensure exceptional service from day one.

About the role:

We're now looking for a Café Supervisor for our Prebbleton village who shares our love for people, hospitality, and quality service.

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our café. From making great coffee to creating tasty cabinet food and light meals, you’ll help make our café a warm and welcoming place for residents, their families, and visitors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading the daily operations of the café and reconciling the daily takings
• Training and mentoring a small team
• Preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to a high standard
• Assisting with catering for village events and resident functions

You’ll work closely with the Chef Manager, and wider village team to deliver a café experience that’s welcoming, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable.

The hours for this role are Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 3.30pm.

About you:

You will bring a warm and positive approach to everything you do, along with:

• Previous experience running daily operations in a café or hospitality business
• Experience leading a team is ideal
• LCQ and/or Duty Managers certificate
• A warm, friendly personality with great customer service skills
• Excellent communication and the ability to multitask
