Job summary

CGR Services in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is seeking a skilled Cable Jointer and Electrical Fitter to join our experienced electricity infrastructure team. The role covers underground cables and substation work, offering variety and hands-on experience.

You will install, joint, and terminate LV/HV cables, perform electrical fitting and maintenance, fault finding, and support upgrades while staying safe and compliant. A current EWRB registration or progress toward it is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cable Jointer or Electrical Fitter in electricity networks.
• Current EWRB registration or working towards it.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, joint, and terminate LV/HV underground cables.
• Electrical fitting and maintenance in substations and network assets.
• Fault finding and repairs across the network.
• Support new installations, upgrades and projects.
• Collaborate with field crews and project teams.
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality and compliance standards.

• Electrical fitting and maintenance in substations and network assets
• Fault finding and repairs across the network

• Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Cable Jointer, Electrical Fitter, or both
• Experience in electricity distribution networks
• Current EWRB registration and practising licence (or working towards it)
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality workmanship
