Job summary

Future Skills is seeking an instructor to deliver the Kitchen Manufacturing programme at our Wiri or Albany Campus, developing resources, and supporting learners to achieve outcomes. You will design practical, learner-centered experiences, run hands-on workshops, and assess student progress with timely feedback, helping diverse backgrounds, including Māori and Pasifika, to succeed.

Qualifications

Experience in cabinet making and kitchen installations in New Zealand.
Level 4 qualification or equivalent industry experience.
Certificate in Adult Education (Level 5) or willingness to work towards teaching qualification.
Ability to build relationships with learners from diverse backgrounds, including Māori and Pasifika.
Strong planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain learning resources and Moodle materials.
Design and deliver learning experiences responsive to learner needs, with hands-on practical workshops.
Mark and provide students with constructive feedback on their progress.
Support students in the programme.
