Ara Institute of Canterbury is seeking an experienced Carpentry Tutor at Woolston campus to deliver high-quality practical and theory-based training across a range of programmes, including work-based learning and night classes.

You will help students develop technical skills, industry knowledge, and safe work practices required for success in construction, while supporting diverse learners and upholding academic standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised Carpentry trade qualification required.
• Experience delivering practical and theory-based carpentry training preferred.
• Ability to support diverse learners and maintain academic quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality practical and theory-based training across programmes.
• Support learners from diverse backgrounds and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist learners to gain Ara qualifications and transition to employment or further training.
