Job summary

PAK’n SAVE Palmerston North is hiring a Butchery Assistant / Meat Packer on a fixed-term basis until the end of January 2027. You will help display meat, tray up and pack products, keep the butchery clean and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires teamwork, self-motivation and good communication, with on-the-job training provided by a supportive leadership team focused on health and safety.

Qualifications

• A team player with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to follow Health & Safety and Food Control Plan requirements.

Responsibilities

• Display product in cabinets to a highly presentable manner.
• Tray up and pack meat.
• Clean the butchery area.
• Assist customers with queries.

Butchery Assistant / Meat Packer - Fixed Term (Until end of January 2027)

Come and work for one of Palmerston North’s largest retail Butcheries.

PAK’n SAVE Palmerston North are looking for a keen, hardworking and reliable person to join our Butchery team on a fixed term basis. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a passion for meat presentation and great eye for detail when it comes to cleaning as well as someone who thrives working in a fast-paced business.

The Role:

• Displaying product in cabinets to a highly presentable manner
• Traying up and packing meat
• Cleaning the Butchery
• Assisting with customer queries
