PAK’nSAVE Rolleston is seeking a skilled butcher to join our busy in-store team. You’ll prepare and present fresh meat products with pride and a focus on quality.

As a full-time role across four days, you’ll work in our modern supermarket butchery, collaborating with the team to deliver great customer experiences and high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a butcher in a busy retail or supermarket environment.
• Supermarket butchery experience would be an advantage.
• Strong eye for quality and presentation; pride in craft.

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our busy Butchery team at PAK’nSAVE Rolleston.

Working in our modern supermarket butchery, you’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting a range of fresh, high-quality meat products for our customers. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, has a strong eye for quality and presentation, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, hands-on team.

This is a full-time position worked across four days. Specific days and hours will be discussed with the successful applicant.

What the role involves:

• Preparing and cutting a wide range of fresh meat products to a high and consistent standard
• Boning, trimming, portioning and value-adding products for retail sale
• Ensuring products meet our expectations for quality, freshness and presentation
• Maintaining attractive and well-stocked displays throughout the day
• Following production plans and working efficiently to meet customer demand
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Monitoring product quality and ensuring stock is rotated correctly
• Working collaboratively with the wider Butchery team to deliver outstanding results

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience working as a Butcher in a busy retail or supermarket environment
• Supermarket butchery experience would be an advantage
• A genuine passion for producing and presenting fresh, quality products
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality and presentation of your work
• Good time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, reliable and hands-on attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including regular lifting
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
