Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island seeks a dedicated butcher for the Taupo store. The role involves preparing meats for display, deboning, trimming, cutting, mincing, and grinding, with a focus on quality and waste reduction. Morning starts around 5am and flexible hours to meet busy seasons.

You will also be responsible for labeling and packing products, producing small goods from prepared cuts, and assisting customers with cut recommendations while maintaining display cases and stock levels.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified butcher or experienced butcher.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexible hours with early starts.
• Willingness to adjust start/finish times.
• Independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats for display and sale (deboning, trimming, cutting, mincing, grinding).
• Package and label products; maintain waste reduction.
• Produce small goods from prepared cuts.
