Job summary

New World Centre City in Dunedin is seeking a qualified or experienced Butcher to join the team and maintain high standards of freshness, food safety, and customer service. The role covers 40-45 hours per week with a Sunday-Thursday shift pattern starting early morning.

You will contribute to quality product preparation, in-store displays, and ensuring stock availability while upholding excellent customer experience and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Proven butchery experience and a relevant qualification preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive contribution to a safe, engaged workplace.
• Willingness to support and inspire teammates.

Responsibilities

• Producing New World's range of quality, fresh butchery products
• Presenting products and displays to a high standard
• Ensure stock is available for customers throughout the day
• Cleaning and maintaining butchery tools and preparation areas
• Assist customers and help them find products in-store
