Job summary

Central Otago Motor Group in Cromwell, NZ is seeking an experienced Automotive Business Manager to own the Finance & Insurance function across the Cromwell operation with support to Queenstown. You will drive F&I and aftermarket performance within a leading multi-brand dealership.

The role focuses on presenting finance products, building lender relationships, and maximizing opportunities while delivering excellent customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven Automotive Business Manager / Finance & Insurance experience within New Zealand.
• Strong track record of achieving F&I sales and profitability targets.
• Knowledge of New Zealand lending practices, documentation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a busy dealership environment.
• Current, clean New Zealand Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end vehicle finance and insurance processes.
• Present finance, insurance and aftermarket products to customers.
• Develop F&I and aftermarket penetration across the business.
• Build strong relationships with lenders and insurers.
• Ensure lending, documentation and compliance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with sales to maximise opportunities.
• Monitor performance and improve F&I income per vehicle.
• Support vehicle administration and sales as needed.
• Maintain high customer service standards throughout sales and finance.

Central Otago Motor Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Business Manager to join its team, based primarily in Cromwell, with some support across the Queenstown operation. Representing a strong portfolio of automotive brands including Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Suzuki, BYD, Jeep and RAM, this is an opportunity to take ownership of the dealership's Finance & Insurance function and play a key role in driving its next stage of growth. With strong vehicle sales volumes already in place, there is significant opportunity to further develop F&I and aftermarket performance. We are looking for someone who understands how to maximise every opportunity while delivering the right outcome for the customer.

The Role

• Managing the end-to-end vehicle finance and insurance process
• Presenting finance, insurance and aftermarket products to customers
• Developing F&I and aftermarket penetration across the business
• Building strong relationships with lenders and insurance providers
• Ensuring all lending, documentation and compliance requirements are met
• Working closely with the sales team to identify and maximise opportunities
• Monitoring performance and driving improvements in F&I income per vehicle
• Assisting with vehicle administration and sales support when required
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout the sales and finance process

About You

• Proven Automotive Business Manager / Finance & Insurance experience within New Zealand
• A strong track record of achieving F&I sales and profitability targets
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand lending practices, documentation and compliance requirements
• Confidence presenting finance, insurance and aftermarket products
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for growth
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within a busy dealership environment
• A current, clean New Zealand Driver Licence
