Jora New Zealand is seeking a Business Development Manager for international markets in Auckland. You will grow a New Zealand ice cream business across international channels by opening doors with customers, distributors and major retailers.
You should have 3+ years in sales or business development in FMCG/export, with Mandarin; you will balance pricing, margins, forecasting, and negotiated growth while navigating China and Oceania trade.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
You understand New Zealand.
You understand China.
And you know that doing business across the two takes more than speaking the language.
We're looking for an ambitious commercial person to help grow a New Zealand ice cream business across international markets.
This isn't an account-maintenance role. You'll be finding opportunities, opening doors and building business with customers, distributors and major retail channels.
You'll get involved in new customers, private label, branded products and B2B opportunities — and own the commercial side: pricing, margin, forecasting, negotiation and sales growth.
You'll likely have 3+ years in sales, business development or account management within food, dairy, FMCG or export, ideally with exposure to China or other Asian markets.
Fluent or business-level Mandarin is important. Just as important is your ability to operate confidently in a New Zealand business environment.
If you've built your career in New Zealand while retaining a strong understanding of Chinese business and culture, this is an opportunity to turn that combination into an exciting international commercial career.
