Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
Partners Life is one of New Zealand’s largest life and health insurance companies. As part of the Dai-ichi Life Group, a leading global insurance provider, we are writing our next chapter of growth and opportunity.
We know the industry needs bold thinkers and passionate people to help reshape the future of insurance, and that is exactly who we are looking for. We are committed to doing things differently, lifting industry standards, challenging the status quo, and delivering real value through innovation and personalised advice.
If you are looking to join a company that’s redefining the insurance landscape and backed by the strength of a global group, Partners Life is the place to grow your career and make a real impact.
Our Technology function is entering an exciting period of change, with a strong pipeline of meaningful, high-impact projects ahead. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering some of our most important technology initiatives.
This is not a BAU focused position. You will partner closely with our Programme Manager and technology leaders to drive large-scale projects from discovery through to delivery, helping shape solutions that improve resilience, security, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.
From cyber security initiatives and disaster recovery programmes to enterprise-wide technology and business change projects, you will work at the heart of meaningful change and transformation.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
Lead discovery, requirements gathering, process analysis and solution design activities
Facilitate workshops and engage with senior stakeholders across the business and technology teams
Translate complex business needs into clear, structured and deliverable requirements
Partner with project managers, vendors and delivery teams to ensure solutions remain aligned to business objectives
Identify risks, dependencies and impacts early, helping teams make informed decisions
Support business readiness, testing and implementation activities
Drive strong governance, traceability and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle
You are a seasoned Business Analyst who enjoys working in a delivery-focused environment and thrives on solving complex problems. You bring strong experience across complex systems, integrations, vendors and cross-functional teams.
Alongside your technical delivery capability, you have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. You are confident working across the business, influencing decision making without authority, and balancing competing priorities.
Attributes that may help you succeed:
Extensive experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst delivering large-scale technology and business change initiatives
Strong requirements elicitation, process modelling, impact analysis and problem-solving capabilities
Experience working in cyber security, infrastructure, disaster recovery or enterprise technology programmes highly regarded
Proven experience leading project-based work rather than primarily BAU activities
Experience across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
A practical, hands-on approach with a strong focus on outcomes and delivery
At Partners Life, we believe our people are our greatest asset and are proud to invest in their growth, wellbeing, and success. Here are just some of the benefits you will enjoy as part of our family (some benefits apply to permanent employees only):
Comprehensive training and ongoing support
Genuine career development and progression opportunities
Participation in our discretionary bonus scheme after 12 months’ service
Life insurance and income protection covers at our cost, plus discounted medical insurance (permanent employees only)

Flexible hybrid working arrangements
Modern office with a stunning view in the heart of Takapuna
