Job summary

Quasar Systems is seeking a Building Performance Technician to join our Christchurch team. This role combines traditional BMS service and commissioning with customer support and modern smart building technologies.

If you're currently working as a BMS Service Technician or related role, this could be the perfect next step in your career. The position involves training on Quasar's Energy Management Systems and opportunities to work on major commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC controls knowledge and customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Building Management Systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining Building Management Systems.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Supporting customers remotely and onsite.
• Working with Schneider Electric EBO systems.
• Supporting HVAC control systems and integrations.
• Monitoring and assisting with building performance improvements.
• Delivering customer training and technical support.
• Helping customers get the most from their building systems.

This role combines traditional BMS service and commissioning work with customer support, optimisation and modern smart building technologies.

If you're currently working as a BMS Service Technician, Controls Technician, HVAC Controls Technician or Building Automation Technician, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

What you'll be doing

• Servicing and maintaining Building Management Systems.

• Working with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) systems.
• Supporting HVAC control systems and integrations.
• Monitoring and assisting with building performance improvements.
