Job summary

PlaceMakers Gisborne, part of Fletcher Building, is seeking a Class 2 Driver to deliver building products across the Gisborne region. You will be the face of the branch, loading, loading, and ensuring on-time deliveries while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is permanent, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays, based at the Gisborne branch. Training and development opportunities available within the Fletcher Building Group.

Qualifications

• Holds a full, clean Class 2 NZ Driver Licence.
• Excellent people skills, a cool head, and a customer-first mindset.
• Physically fit with regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and a reliable, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Delivering building products safely and on time across the Gisborne region.
• Loading, unloading, and securing products for delivery.
• Providing outstanding customer service on every job.
• Assisting customers in the Yard & Drive Thru.
• Picking orders, replenishing stock, and supporting stock movements.
• Using yard systems to process orders and track inventory.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised yard.
• Supporting the wider team and contributing to a strong safety culture.
