Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking a reliable Skilled Labourer to work across Taupo construction sites. You’ll assist trades, handle hand and power tools, and help move materials while keeping sites tidy and safe.

The role suits physically fit individuals with hands-on construction experience, a full NZ Driver Licence, and reliable transport. Ongoing work opportunities and weekly pay are available through Tradestaff.

Skilled Labourer

Tradestaff is looking for a reliable Skilled Labourer to work across a range of projects in Taupo. If you’ve got solid construction experience, know your way around tools and aren’t afraid of physical work, we want to hear from you.

Location: Various sites across Taupo

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $25-$27 per hour + weekly pay

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist skilled trades with day-to-day construction tasks


• Use hand and power tools confidently and safely


• Move, load and unload construction materials


• Complete site preparation and general clean-up


• Carry out basic building and practical site tasks


• Help set up work areas and keep materials organised


• Work alongside site crews to keep projects moving

What We’re Looking For

• Previous hands-on construction or skilled labouring experience


• Confidence using common hand and power tools


• Good practical skills and the ability to follow instructions


• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work


• Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport


• Strong awareness of construction-site health and safety


• Reliable attitude and ability to work well within a team
