Karl Mason Builders Ltd is seeking an experienced Builder to join our Tokoroa team in Waikato on a full-time basis. This hands-on role oversees all aspects of building work, ensuring projects meet high standards and schedule targets.

Karl Mason Builders Ltd is seeking an experienced Builder to join our team in Tokoroa, Waikato on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position where you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality construction projects from start to finish. As a Builder, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building work, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, and on schedule. This role is essential to maintaining Karl Mason Builders Ltd's reputation for excellence in the building trades industry.

We are looking essentially for a no nonsense builder who shows common sense and practical working experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and health and safety requirements throughout all project phases
• work with site teams and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure effective workflow and timely completion
• Identify potential issues and implement solutions to minimise delays and cost overruns
• Maintain tools, equipment, and site conditions to the highest professional standards

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification or experience as a Builder or equivalent trade qualification in the building industry
• experience in building construction, with proven experience in residential and rural building work
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and health and safety legislation applicable in New Zealand
• Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and best practices
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Physical fitness and ability to work on building sites in various weather conditions
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
• First Aid certification is highly desirable
