Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand in Whangārei seeks a Consultant General Surgeon with a keen interest in Breast Surgery and experience in colonoscopy. You will deliver high-quality clinical care within a collaborative General Surgery service, contributing to efficient surgical services for Te Tai Tokerau communities.

Role includes outpatient clinics, ward rounds, operating lists, and on-call participation, with supervision of Residents and teamwork with a wide multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for vocational (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in General Surgery.
• Experience in breast surgery and colonoscopy.
• Ability to provide high-quality clinical care and contribute to multidisciplinary care.

Responsabilités

• Conduct outpatient clinics and ward rounds.
• Manage operating lists.
• Participate in General Surgery on-call roster.
• Supervise Resident Medical Officers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
