Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes invites applications for a General Surgeon with a Sub-Specialty in Breast for a permanent, full-time position at Rotorua Hospital. The role offers a diverse caseload combining general surgery with your breast specialty in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will work with a small, dedicated team on a 1:8 on-call roster and have opportunities to teach and mentor registrars and trainees.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for MCNZ registration in a relevant scope of practice.
• FRACS or CCT from UK/Ireland, American Board Certification or FRCSC are welcomed.

Responsabilités

• Manage a broad range of acute and elective general surgery cases.
• Provide specialist breast services including diagnostics, surgical management and outpatient clinics.
• Participate in a 1:8 on-call roster and contribute to teaching and mentoring of registrars and trainees.
