Job summary

Wesco Anixter in Wellington is seeking a proactive Trade Counter Sales & Office Manager to lead our branch operations. You’ll drive customer service, manage stock and display areas, and coordinate office duties to keep the branch running smoothly.

You will balance customer needs with administration and warehouse priorities, maintain a safe, tidy environment and foster collaboration across the local team to deliver a reliable customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in trade counter sales, customer service, branch operations or warehousing.
• Strong customer communication across face‑to‑face, phone and email.
• Practical, organised approach with balance of customer needs, administration and warehouse priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and sales support through walk‑ins, email and calls.
• Prepare quotations and complete data entry, invoicing and packing slips.
• Assist warehouse: pick, invoice, pack, dispatch, restock and arrange transport.
• Coordinate stock takes, local purchasing, supplier requirements and returns.
• Keep branch areas clean, stocked and professionally presented; ensure branch access and security.
