Job summary

Fulton Hogan is hiring a Bitumen Sprayer Operator in Alexandra, Central Otago to join our Sealing team. The role is hands-on and focuses on operating and supporting spray sealing activities to deliver safe, high-quality roads for our communities.

You’ll work with an experienced crew, receive training, and be supported to grow your skills while upholding safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• A minimum Full Class 4 Driver Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and doing Good Work.
• A practical, reliable and team-focused approach.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new plant and processes.
• Bitumen, spray sealing, W, T, R or Dangerous Goods experience is great to have, but we’re also open to training the right person.

Responsibilities

• Operate or learn to operate the bitumen sprayer safely, efficiently and to quality standards
• Support spray sealing activities, including plant checks, set-up, and general site tasks
• Help load, unload and move equipment and materials to and from site
• Work closely with the wider surfacing crew to keep jobs moving safely and on schedule
• Follow site safety controls, identify hazards, report issues, and take care of plant and equipment

We’re looking for a Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our Sealing team in Alexandra, Central Otago.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has surfacing experience, or for someone with the right attitude who’s keen to learn and be trained in the role. You’ll work alongside an experienced crew, operating and supporting spray sealing activities that help deliver safe, high-quality roads for our communities.

It’s hands-on work, and it matters. We take the work seriously, not ourselves. If you’re practical, safety-focused and up for learning, we’ll back you with training, support and the chance to grow.
