Job summary

HEB Construction in Auckland seeks an experienced Bitumen/Emulsion Sprayer Operator to join our surfacing team. This is a physical role requiring fitness and a positive attitude; occasional travel is required.

You will operate SRE sprayers across sealing works, maintain gear clean and safe, and adhere to high Health & Safety standards. A Class 4/5 license with DG ticket is preferred, plus 5+ years of sprayer experience; Road Ranger gearbox experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Class 4/5 license with Dangerous Goods ticket preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sprayer operation across all sealing works (first coats, reseals, second coats).
• Significant experience with bitumen products and spray rates.
• Good communication skills and high Health and Safety standards.
• Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Experience with a Road Ranger gearbox highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• This is a physical role based in Auckland with occasional travel. You will operate bitumen sprayers and contribute to sealing works.
• Maintain sprayer equipment and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Commit to a 40-hour week with occasional Saturday work as project needs require.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and participate in pre-employment drug testing.

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Bitumen/Emulsion Sprayer Operator to join our surfacing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to contribute to a high-performing crew. This position is based in Auckland and includes occasional travel requirements.

What knowledge / experience / qualifications are we after?

• Class 4 or 5 license preferred with Dangerous Goods ticket
• Experience with SRE Sprayers and systems and an ability to keep gear clean and tidy to a high standard
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sprayer operation across all sealing works (first coats, reseals, second coats)
• Significant experience with bitumen products and spray rates
• Good communication skills and high Health and Safety Standards
• Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude
• Experience with a Road Ranger gearbox highly desireable

WTR is also highly recommended but can be obtained with the right candidate.

We offer a guaranteed 40 working week, and a competitive hourly rate. Some Saturdaywork will be required from time to time as required for the project, particularly during the summer months during reseal season.
