Job summary

The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Biology sessions, assess student progress, and incorporate practical lab activities while maintaining health and safety standards and staying current with biology and educational technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.
• Teaching qualification or relevant experience preferred.
• Experience teaching Biology at secondary or tertiary levels is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of biology and ability to communicate concepts clearly.
• Laboratory safety knowledge and practical lab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Biology lessons aligned with curriculum.
• Explain concepts using diverse teaching methods and resources.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and exams.
• Develop lesson plans, materials, assignments, quizzes, and papers.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Identify students needing support and provide remedial instruction.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Encourage critical thinking and independent learning.
• Conduct practical biology activities and uphold safety procedures.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and communicate with stakeholders.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Stay updated with developments in Biology and educational technology.
