Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Tai Tokerau is seeking a Chemical Pathologist - Biochemistry to join the Northland service, providing complete oversight of Biochemistry testing and reporting. The appointee will take ownership of QA, protocol development, and clinical pathways, with visits to Whangarei and district laboratories as part of the role.

Candidates must hold or be eligible for MCNZ specialist registration in Pathology; FRCPA or equivalent preferred, and assistance available for overseas

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for MCNZ specialist registration in Pathology Vocational scope.
• FRCPA or equivalent preferred.
• Assistance available for overseas applicants to obtain MCNZ registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of Biochemistry testing, reporting, and QA.
• Develop clinical pathways and quality assurance programs.
• Support collaboration with Whangarei and district laboratories.
