Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Our Clients and Markets team focuses on the heart of our business - our clients. We provide leadership, advice and support to all levels of our organisation on best practice business development strategies and client engagement.

We are looking for a Bids and Pursuits Advisor to join our Clients & Markets team. Reporting to the Manager - Clients & Markets, you'll work closely with Client Leaders, Market Leaders, technical specialists, and our wider Marketing and Business Development colleagues across New Zealand and Australia. It's a team that works hard while staying true to our values of partnership, tenacity, enjoyment, and care.

A key focus of this role is supporting the delivery of high-quality bids and pursuits. You will play an important role in coordinating submissions, contributing to bid strategy, and developing compelling, client-focused content. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure opportunities are well-qualified, effectively managed, and aligned to client requirements. Your proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail will support successful outcomes and position you as a trusted member of the team.

Based in Auckland, Tauranga or Wellington, this role supports opportunities across multiple geographies. You'll contribute to initiatives and activities that strengthen our pursuit capability, improve bid performance, and support the continued success of our business.

This role is for a 12 month fixed-term.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bids and Pursuits professional who is ready to grow their capability and contribute to successful bid outcomes. The successful candidate will bring a proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with the ability to support bid and pursuit activities and drive strong business outcomes. You will have experience with the full lifecycle of bidding from opportunity qualification, through to bid/no-bid decisions, and contributing to the writing, management and completion of the submission, as well as follow up and feedback afterwards. Alongside this, you will also track pipeline activity, performance and win/loss insights gained along the way.

You bring strong coordination and communication skills, enabling you to work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop high-quality, client-focused bid materials. Confident managing inputs, timelines and competing priorities, submissions are delivered on time, to a high standard, and in line with established processes and quality expectations. You will also be comfortable working with technical specialists and business leaders to gather inputs, contribute to bid strategy, and support the development of win themes and messaging aligned to client needs.

You will build effective relationships across the business and contribute to workshops or planning sessions where required. With strong attention to detail, you can monitor progress, identify risks or issues, and escalated appropriately. You bring a continuous improvement mindset, capturing insights and lessons learned to support best practice in bids and pursuits. Experience within professional services and/or the engineering, construction or infrastructure sectors will be highly regarded.

A career with Beca will provide you with:

  • Build your skills through our extensive Professional development training programs
  • A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work
  • Flexible working arrangements to balance your personal / family commitments
  • Opportunities to learn from our industry specialists and technical gurus across the Asia-Pacific
  • Wellbeing and volunteer leave
  • Enhanced parental leave with up to 22 weeks full paid leave after the birth or placement of your child, inclusive of all genders
  • Discounted insurances including health, life, and income protection
