KG Recruitment in East Tamaki, Auckland is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join a leading NZ CA firm. The role focuses on business advisory, tax planning and annual financial statements.

You will work with clients, deliver practical advice, interpret financial reports, and support growth initiatives as part of a collaborative team with accessible Partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of business advisory experience in a NZ CA environment.
• Experience with NZ BAS and NZ tax environments is preferred.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements and undertake ad hoc advisory work.
• Analyse client financial reports and management accounts to provide actionable insights.
• Advise on tax-efficient strategies including trust distributions, group structures, GST, PAYE and indirect taxes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Work with clients to prepare annual financial statements and also ad hoc advisory work

Analyse and interpret client financial reports and management accounts to provide actionable insights

Advise on tax-effective strategies including trust income distribution, group structures, FBT, GST, PAYE, and indirect taxes

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and escalate complex issues appropriately for resolution

We are looking for someone who is experienced, has solid NZ CA BAS experience and is looking for career growth with:

A minimum of 2 + years of business advisory experience in a NZ CA environment, ideally a mid tier or big 4 firm

Fully or partially qualified NZ Chartered Accountant

Strong technical skills

You must be living in NZ with a legal right to work and have current or recent experience in BAS in a reputable NZ Chartered Accounting firm to apply, if you do not have this then likely no response will be given.
