Job summary

Westpac New Zealand seeks a Bank Manager to lead a busy branch with purpose, energy, and a focus on people, customers, and community. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will develop, lead and drive branch performance while building strong relationships inside and outside the bank to foster loyalty and growth.

You’ll oversee Banking Advisers and Customer Service staff across personal, business, and wealth services, guiding change initiatives and coaching a diverse team to deliver exceptional

Qualifications

  • Proven recent experience as a successful leader.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change.
  • A strong commitment to coaching and developing others.
  • A solid understanding of the local area (desired).
  • A tertiary qualification in Business (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the branch team to meet customer needs across personal, business, and wealth banking.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, staff, and community to drive loyalty and business success.
  • Shape how the branch connects with customers through spaces, technology and capabilities to deliver outstanding experiences.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development, leadership, and performance of your branch. You’ll build strong relationships both inside and outside the bank, helping drive business success and customer loyalty. You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we connect — through our spaces, technology, and capability — to deliver outstanding experiences for customers, staff, business partners, and the wider community.

You’ll lead a diverse team of Banking Advisers and Customer Service Representatives, supporting them to meet every customer’s needs across personal banking, business banking, and wealth.
