Job summary

Halswell New World in Halswell, Christchurch, is seeking a full-time Bakery Packer to join our friendly Bakery team. If you enjoy a fast-paced, hands-on role, this could be the perfect fit.

You will assist with packaging, pricing and presentation of Bakery products, keep the area clean, and uphold Food and Health and Safety requirements. Shifts run Monday, Tuesday and Sunday from 5:30am to 2:00pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit with a high level of personal presentation.
• Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
• Reliable, organised and good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Bakery team with packaging, pricing and presenting Bakery products.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Bakery department.
• Upholding Food and Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensuring the store is well merchandised.
• Working quickly and efficiently while managing your own workload.

Day to day tasks:

• Assisting the Bakery team with packaging, pricing and presenting our Bakery products
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Bakery department
• Maintaining the implementation of our Food and Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensuring the store is well merchandised.
• Working quickly and efficiently, while managing your own work load
• Using initiative to prioritise tasks and plan your day

The hours for the role are:

• Monday: 5.30am-2.00pm
• Tuesday: 5.30am-2.00pm
• Sunday: 5.30am-2.00pm
