Job summary

Halswell New World in Halswell, Christchurch, is seeking a full-time Bakery Packer to join our busy bakery team. You will assist with packaging, pricing and presenting our bakery products, in a role that is fast-paced and hands-on.

The ideal candidate is reliable, has good attention to detail and is willing to learn. Hours include Monday, Tuesday and Sunday shifts from 5:30am to 2:00pm, with opportunities to contribute to Food and Health and Safety practices.

Day to day tasks:

• Assisting the Bakery team with packaging, pricing and presenting our Bakery products
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Bakery department
• Maintaining the implementation of our Food and Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensuring the store is well merchandised.
• Working quickly and efficiently, while managing your own work load
• Using initiative to prioritise tasks and plan your day

The hours for the role are:

• Monday: 5.30am-2.00pm
• Tuesday: 5.30am-2.00pm
• Sunday: 5.30am-2.00pm
