New World in Christchurch is seeking a passionate Bakery Manager to oversee daily bakery operations, schedules, and quality control. You will lead a busy team, plan baking rosters, manage inventories and costs, and ensure friendly, high-standard customer service.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to safety and product presentation. Early mornings and weekend shifts are expected as part of supporting a vibrant Canterbury store.

Formación

• Proven experience in bakery management or similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of bakery products and production processes.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and lead the bakery team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure the highest standards of product quality and presentation.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing waste.
• Develop and implement new bakery products and promotions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor sales and profitability, and work towards achieving department targets.
