Job summary

Air New Zealand is seeking an SMS Delivery Lead within Aircraft Maintenance and Delivery. You will steer the ongoing evolution of our Safety Management System, partner with operational leaders, and translate insights into practical actions that strengthen safety performance and regulatory compliance across the maintenance network.

You will coach leaders, coordinate SMS work programmes, and embed a culture of proactive safety alongside regulators and auditors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in aviation safety or SMS delivery in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety management, risk assessment and regulations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and evolution of the Safety Management System across Aircraft Maintenance and Delivery.
• Collaborate with regulators, auditors and assurance teams to support audits.
• Translate safety data and findings into practical actions improving safety outcomes.
