Job summary

Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) is seeking a Senior Planner in Queenstown to lead statutory planning, designations and regulatory approvals for airport infrastructure and property development.

You will work with the Head of Planning & Sustainability to deliver consented programmes, manage complex processes, and engage with councils, regulators and stakeholders to protect operational capability and long‑term growth.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in statutory planning, resource management or environmental planning.
• Experience managing complex resource consent, designation and planning approvals.
• Experience preparing planning assessments, submissions and expert evidence.
• Experience participating in hearings, mediations and stakeholder negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and consenting workstreams for airport infrastructure, operational and property development projects.
• Prepare and lodge resource consent applications, Notices of Requirement, and Outline Plans.
• Develop and implement consenting strategies to meet delivery objectives and timeframes.
• Ensure timely statutory approvals and manage planning obligations.
• Coordinate external planning consultants and engage with regulatory authorities.
• Support the Head of Planning & Sustainability with technical leadership.
