Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Queenstown Airport - Queenstown, South Island

Queenstown Airport proudly connects our home with Aotearoa New Zealand and the world. Our vision is to be an innovative airport that people love to travel through and the community takes pride in.

The Position

We're looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to bring our brand to life and deliver strategic, customer-focused marketing across QAC. This is a standalone role reporting to our Head of Corporate Communications, Brand and Marketing, working as part of a fantastic team while taking ownership of QAC's marketing function.

This is a broad and influential role where you'll have the opportunity to shape how Queenstown Airport connects with our customers and communities, while playing a key role in communicating an exciting period of change and development across the airport.

You'll lead the planning and delivery of marketing activity across the organisation – from performance and digital marketing through to brand, customer campaigns and supporting our Horizon-ZQN capital development programme.

Key Responsibilities

Implement marketing and communications plans that support QAC's business activity, organisational strategy and capital development programme.

Develop, maintain and execute performance marketing activity, including our customer-facing digital strategy.

Champion the Queenstown Airport brand and sub-brands, providing guidance across the business to ensure activity is delivered on-brand and aligned with our strategic direction.

Develop and implement marketing and communications plans for our Horizon-ZQN campaign and capital development programme, aligned with project milestones, operational requirements and customer needs.

Coordinate capital project marketing and communications assets across digital content, signage, wayfinding, collateral and on-site communications.

Play a key role delivering customer-facing communications relating to infrastructure works.

Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to deliver QAC's Customer Experience Strategy through marketing and communications initiatives and terminal activations.

Support strategic engagement with key stakeholders including our shareholders, the airport community, and travellers.

Champion QAC's sustainability strategy through marketing campaigns and use data insights to support behaviour-change initiatives across the airport campus.

Work collaboratively across the Corporate Communications, Brand & Marketing team and wider business to deliver events, and our marcomms and engagement initiatives.

About you

We're looking for someone who can think strategically but is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting things done.

You'll ideally bring:

A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline, with more than 8 years’ experience in relevant customer, communications or strategic marketing roles.

Strong strategic and commercial thinking, with the ability to turn business objectives into effective marketing activity.

Proven experience in performance marketing, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.

Confidence using data, customer insights and analysis to inform decisions and measure impact.

Strong brand capability and an understanding of how to protect and build reputation across multiple channels and audiences.

Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.

A collaborative and positive approach, with the ability to work effectively across different teams, projects and priorities.

Why work for us?

We're a small, collaborative organisation with ambitious plans, so you'll be close to the action, have the opportunity to make a tangible impact and work alongside people from right across the business.
