Placements24 is seeking a skilled Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician for Queenstown. The role involves inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of baggage tractors, belt loaders and other aircraft support gear on-site at the airport.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, at least 3 years’ experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualificações

• Trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience with heavy machinery or ground support equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver''s license and airport security clearance.
• Flexible hours including shifts and weekends as required by airport operations.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on all GSE.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on GSE.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records including parts and labor hours.
• Ensure GSE operates safely and efficiently per manufacturer specs and company standards.
• Operate GSE for testing and diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and service area.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including aviation-specific procedures.
• Identify and recommend replacement parts and new equipment as needed.
• Participate in training to stay current with GSE technologies.
