Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Mechanic to join a general aviation maintenance team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA. This on-site role covers maintenance, repairs and overhauls on piston and turboprop aircraft, with emphasis on safety and airworthiness.

You will diagnose issues, interpret manuals, and maintain detailed records while collaborating with other technicians in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of general aviation aircraft experience.
AME certification or equivalent required.
Experience with piston and turboprop engines.
Ability to interpret manuals and schematics.
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on general aviation aircraft.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with engines, airframes, and systems.
Overhaul and replace aircraft components and systems as needed.
Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and aircraft schematics.
Ensure all work performed complies with aviation regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
Fabricate or repair aircraft parts as necessary.
Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to resolve complex issues.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company procedures.
