Job summary

Christchurch Engine Centre, a joint venture involving Pratt & Whitney and Air New Zealand, offers a summer undergraduate work experience for two University of Canterbury engineering students in 2026. You'll contribute to engineering tasks in a state-of-the-art facility and gain hands-on exposure to aviation maintenance projects.

• Familiar with database concepts.
• Willing to learn new skills for engineering projects.

• Able to integrate quickly into an established team.

Responsibilities

• Enter technical work instructions into Solumina.
• Create aviation tooling design drawings with Alibre or NX.
• Analyze tooling and product measurement data using SPC.
• Set up and display PW Product Characteristic Database.
• Support PW1100G test cell capability project activities.
