Job summary

Oceania Healthcare in Blenheim (Redwood) is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to join our nurse-led service, delivering care at full scope to residents. You will coordinate daily care needs, exercise clinical judgment, and build strong connections with residents and families.

You’ll lead and support care staff while collaborating with the wider health team. You must hold a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate, be committed to excellent service, and have experience with clinical

Qualifications

• Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate is required.
• Experience using clinical systems.
• Desirable: InterRAI experience (but not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management abilities.
• Capability to coach and mentor other staff.
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the daily care needs of residents while inspiring and supporting others.
• Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively.
• Making critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating autonomy.
• Building connections and relationships with residents and their families (and allied health professionals in the community).
• Providing leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.
