Job summary

Oceania is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Green Gables team in Nelson, New Zealand. You will practice at full scope within a nurse-led service, coordinating daily care, assessing residents, and making autonomous clinical decisions.

You will be supported to build strong relationships with residents and families, while mentoring care staff and contributing to a values-driven, compassionate workplace. A NZ Annual Practising Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• NZ Annual Practising Certificate required.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Experience using clinical systems.
• Desirable: InterRai experience (not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management abilities.
• Capability to coach and mentor other staff.
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily care needs of residents.
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, independently and with others.
• Make critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrate autonomy.
• Build connections with residents and their families and with allied health professionals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.
