Job summary

Frontline Recruitment is seeking a capable community health nurse to deliver primary care across a central Northland clinic with outreach. The role requires autonomous practice in a nurse-led environment and vaccination capabilities, with collaboration across Enrolled Nurses and local health colleagues.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Council of NZ and holds a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Ability to work independently in a nurse-led clinical environment.
• Cervical screening experience or certification valued but not essential.
• Holds a full, clean and current New Zealand driver licence.
• Has a current Level 4 First Aid certificate.
• Comfortable using electronic patient management systems; Medtech or Indici experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments and deliver appropriate follow-up care.
• Provide immunisations across the lifespan.
• Undertake pregnancy testing, swabbing and other primary care procedures.
• Support cervical screening where qualified.
• Assess and support clients experiencing head lice.
• Deliver smoking cessation advice and wider health education.
• Participate in community health promotion and outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to safe clinical practice.
• Work collaboratively with Enrolled Nurses, kaiāwhina and external health providers.
