Bowater Toyota in Nelson is seeking an Automotive Technician to join a busy, well‑established workshop. You’ll diagnose faults, service, repair and maintain Toyota vehicles while developing your Toyota qualifications.

We welcome a positive attitude and a willingness to learn; Toyota experience is not essential, and WOF certification support is available. Applicants must have NZ driver’s licence and right to work in New Zealand.

• Qualified Automotive Technician with a valid NZ Driver’s Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on Toyota vehicles.
• Servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Oil and filter changes.
• Cooling system testing.
• Transmission and gearbox repairs.
• Brake and suspension repairs.
• Fluid replacement and general mechanical repairs.
• Warrant of Fitness inspections, if certified.

The role

Our Nelson workshop is busy, varied and fast-paced, so there’s plenty to keep you challenged.

As an Automotive Technician, you’ll be involved in:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on Toyota vehicles
• Servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Oil and filter changes
• Cooling system testing
• Transmission and gearbox repairs
• Brake and suspension repairs
• Fluid replacement and general mechanical repairs
• Warrant of Fitness inspections, if certified

Technical ability matters, but your attitude matters just as much to us. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in their work and is keen to continue learning.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• A willingness to learn and develop
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Toyota experience and Toyota qualifications would be an advantage, but aren’t essential
• WOF certification would also be highly regarded, but isn’t essential

If you have the right attitude and technical foundation but don’t yet have Toyota qualifications or WOF certification, we can help you develop these.
