Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU seeks an Automation Specialist to join a high-automation manufacturing and logistics environment. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automated systems while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and IT teams.

The role involves learning end-to-end automation processes, analyzing data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a modern production setting.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in automation or related trade preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in automation, robotics, manufacturing or warehouses systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, machine data, log files and system reports.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day shift roster.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support the daily operation of automated systems to ensure maximum uptime.
• Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, IT, and automation teams.
• Learn end-to-end automation, production, and warehouse processes.
• Diagnose automation faults and assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Coordinate and support major system incident management when required.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor automation system performance and identify operational trends.
• Prepare and interpret system performance reports and machine data.
• Support automation equipment suppliers with testing information, system logs, and data.
• Work with software platforms including SAP and automation control systems.
