Job summary
Metro Performance Glass is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our busy Auckland plant in Highbrook. You’ll be hands-on with planned maintenance, break/fix, and installations, ensuring equipment runs at peak performance.
You’ll work alongside fellow engineers on automation projects, with opportunities to develop training materials and documentation to share knowledge across the team, with Health & Safety as a core principle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and installs
- Experience in a busy manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of automation equipment, HMIs and PLCs
- Experience with Lisec automated equipment is a plus
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with automated industrial production machinery
- Able to work independently or in a team
- Strong communication with wider plant team
- Experience using a CMMS and Microsoft apps
- Proactive and committed to Health & Safety
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs
- Support new installations and improvement projects
- Work on automation initiatives and Lisec equipment
- Develop practical training and documentation for the team
