Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in New Zealand seeks a reliable Process Operator to join the Bluebird Foods team in Wiri. The role operates heavily automated production lines and packaging equipment, with a Monday to Friday roster from 7.00am to 3.00pm.

This permanent full-time role focuses on safety, data accuracy, and seamless production flow. You will contribute to quality checks, flavour verification, and waste management while following HACCP/GMP guidelines and PepsiCo sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum NCEA Level 1-3 or Equivalent.
• Experience with processing machine operation is advantageous but not essential.
• Understanding of HACCP/GMP is advantageous.
• Safety conscious.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Work as part of an efficient Food Production Team.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Operate the heavily robotic machinery that packages our chips into packets, and also into boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate data into computerised systems.
• Ensure flavour testing is completed effectively, and accurate flavour is supplied in accordance with product runs.
• Complete quality checks as required, with management of materials and waste.
