• Trade qualification as Auto Electrician.

Auto Electrician - Heavy Equipment

IMG provides proactive maintenance and innovative solutions that keep industry productive. We are looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Heavy Diesel team, working both in our workshop and on customer sites across Auckland.

This is a hands-on role where you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and deliver high-quality workmanship on a wide range of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.

About the Role

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy diesel machinery and equipment
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Service, diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment air conditioning systems
• Complete job documentation accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs, timelines and recommendations
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and right the first time
• Maintain high workshop housekeeping and safety standards

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Trade Qualified Auto Electrician
• Proven experience working on heavy equipment, heavy diesel vehicles and machinery
• Strong understanding of air conditioning (A/C) systems, including diagnosis, servicing and repairs
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently both in the workshop and in the field
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Full New Zealand driver's licence
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
